Registration  Workshop 24-25 February

If you have never danced swing before, or you want to brush up on the basic steps, we look forward to seeing you on Saturday.

Sunday will be dedicated to those who have already taken earlier courses.

What does Leader and Follower mean? Leader is usually a man and Follower is usually a woman as you know from classic dances. Leader leads the dance, Follower lets to be lead. But we point out that in swing it's fairly common that gender roles are not maintained, and that many people can also dance in switched or even both roles. So don't be shy, when ladies lead and gents follow. :)

Typically there's a shortage of leaders, so gentlemen have an advantage. We kindly ask followers to try to bring a dancing partner, it's cheaper for you that way.

If you don't bring a partner with you, we'll put you on a queue and match you with a dancer of the opposite role. We will also regularly rotate partner as is the tradition in swing classes, so you won't be dancing with just one person anyway.

You can type up anything you'd like to tell us in the Notes field.

Registration for a course is mandatory, we won't let you in without it. Furthermore, we need to know how many people are interested to see whether we can fill up the course at all. We'll also inform you about future events or any changes if necessary. We don't spam and don't share e-mail addresses with anyone else.

What to bring with you?

Bring your positive spirit, of course! But apart from that, you should bring suitable shoes with a flat and slippery sole. The more slippery the sole, the less you harm your knees. The sole is slippery enough once you are able to twist your feet to the right and to the left effortlessly, like "doing the twist" dance move. For the initial lesson we suggest bringing multiple pairs of shoes and trying which one slips most. Definitely wear/bring a comfy dress as you will move a lot. We also recommend to bring yourself a towel and enough of water to drink.
